Course Description: This intensive 4-day course is designed to empower dental assistants with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform effective and thorough coronal scaling procedures as permitted by Illinois state law. Participants will gain hands-on experience, learn best practices, and understand the importance of maintaining optimal oral health for patients. The course combines theoretical insights with practical training to ensure participants leave with confidence in their ability to contribute to superior patient care.
Certification: Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon successful completion of the course.

Course prerequisite requirements:
– Participants must be 18 years of age or older
– Have at least 2,000 hours of direct clinical and patient care experience
– Complete an approved coronal polishing course before taking coronal
scaling course
– Must be currently certified in Basic Life Support for healthcare providers
– Please wear appropriate attire (scrubs and close-toed shoes), bring safety glasses, a government-issued photo ID, and a signed affidavit if applicable. Gloves and masks will be provided.
